What Does LIFR Do?
Winter is the traditional season for fly tying and we hold organized classes for all skill levels.
The Club also participates in several fishing shows where we network with other anglers and outfitters.
Spring lets us finally wet a line and our Club trips and stream cleanup activities start.
Summer is a time for camping trips and warm water fishing for bass and panfish. Our summer meetings feature delicious cookouts and casting practice. Clubmembers also volunteer as 'River Helpers' for Casting for Recovery in September.
Fall fishing in New York is fantastic as we have saltwater migrations for stripers and bluefish, plus worldclass steelhead, salmon and brown trout runs in the Great Lakes tributaries. We finish the year with a lively holiday party and a Toys for Tots collection drive!
