Big Eye Bugger, from Paul McCain

 

Hook: 3X Long Streamer
 Sizes: 4, 6, 8, 10
Thread: Color to match body
Eyes: Bead Chain
Tail: Marabou plus Flash
Body: Sparkle or Carpet Yarn
Collar: Soft Hackle

  • Tying Instructions:

    1. Tie on bead chain eyes
    2. Wrap thread to the bend of the hook and tie tail and flash
    3. Tie in the sparkle yarn and let it hang
    4. Wrap the thread to the bead chain and tie in the hackle
    5. Wrap the sparkle yarn to the hackle and let it hang
    6. Wrap hackle to make a collar behind the eyes
    7. Wrap yarn around the bead chain and tie off, then make a head
    8. Pick out the body to make it fuzzy
